The MICROCAM clubs : their history

In 1981, computing started to be successful in France. By this way, some Credit Agricole employees of Ille et Vilaine (Brittany) with the agreement of the Joint Production committee, decided to create a computing club, in order to gather the abilities of each person to develop the activities of the Crédit Agricole.

On 12th December 1981, this association was called MICROCAM that stands for computing -MICRO- and Crédit Agricole Mutuel (acronym CAM).

As the club became rapidly successful, on 16th March 1990, MICROCAM became a legal association using the French 1901 law (non profit association).

MICROCAM06 was created in Nice (french Riviera ) in 1989 by Yves Cornil who was one of the founders of MICROCAM. He was helped by Jean François BIANCHI. The association became legal in August 1989, using the same law as above.
MICROCAM06 is a multimakers (Apple and PC) and users club that is approved by "
APPLE USER GROUP" (AUG)
The MICROCAM clubs numbers are more than 500.

MICROCAM : its goals
